Pickup trucks are everywhere, so it can be hard to stand out from the crowd if you want a unique truck. One great way to have a truck that looks different from everybody else’s is by choosing a special edition model.
Chevrolet recently announced that the 2020 Silverado 1500 will be available with two of the most popular special edition packages, Midnight and Rally Edition. Both of these flaunt unparalleled designs.
The Midnight Edition is available on the LT Trail Boss and the Custom Trail Boss trims. It adds a 2-inch factory suspension lift and the Z71 Off-Road Package. That equips skid plates, 18-inch painted wheels, and an automatic locking rear differential. As the name implies, the Midnight edition will have an all-black look with black Bowties, black exhaust tips, black off-road assist steps, black bumpers, and a black grille.
For a Silverado with a sportier look, choose the Rally Edition. It is available on the Custom and RST trims and is available in Red Hot, Silver Ice Metallic, Black, or Summit White exterior paint. Its unique styling includes a body-colored grille, black Bowties, black Rally stripes on the tailgate and hood, black assist steps, and black exhaust tips. The look is completed with 20-inch black painted wheels.
The seven-passenger Buick Enclave SUV gets a refresh for the 2020 model year, and one major addition is the new Sport Touring package. The 2020 Buick Enclave ST package gives the SUV a range of styling updates for a sportier, athletic look.
The ST package includes a new woven black grille, replacing the standard diamond grille, for a more flat black appearance that really stands out against the body color surround. Plus, with the ST package, you get all the sleek styling updates of the Essence trim, including satin graphite contrast pockets and 20-inch wheels.
The 2020 Enclave also boasts new and upgraded technology, including an updated Rear Camera Mirror that uses a camera to see what’s behind you and projects it on the rearview mirror, giving you a clearer, unobstructed view for safer reversing. The 2020 Enclave will come standard with an 8-inch color touchscreen and will offer available connected navigation.
The Enclave makes plenty of luxurious features standard, like heated front seats, as well as new comfort tech on higher trim levels, like the new massage feature on the Premium and Avenir trims. Available heated second-row seats, unique Pitch Slide for easier third-row access, and power-folding third-row seats.
The time is finally here: The new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is finally available at Transwest Chevrolet Buick. With a bigger body, stronger engines, and lighter weight, this Silverado aims to continue the model’s legacy of a capable, durable, and long-lasting pickup truck.
A new turbodiesel engine. All-new for the 2020 model year is a 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine, which produces 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine can tow up to 9,300 pounds and has a maximum payload of 1,870 pounds, which will help meet up to 90 percent of your light-duty towing needs.
Better technology. Trailering just got easier with the 2020 Silverado’s class-leading available 15 camera views. This allows you to see every view imaginable when you’re towing. You can even access the segment-exclusive transparent trailer feature, which allows you to see what’s happening behind your trailer. The Silverado now also comes available with Adaptive Cruise Control-Camera to keep you a pre-set distance behind the vehicle in front of you when you’re using cruise control.
The Chevrolet crossover and SUV lineup keeps getting better, and the all-new 2021 Trailblazer is an exciting addition. The upcoming Chevrolet Trailblazer will sit between the Chevy Trax and the Chevy Equinox. This small SUV will show off modern styling, smart technologies, and a unique personality.
Advanced driver-assist safety features come standard in this all-new SUV. Each version of the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer will have Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Automatic Emergency Braking. Additional driver-assist features will be available as upgrades, including Rear Park Assist, a High Definition Rear Vision Camera, and Adaptive Cruise Control. These advanced tools use cameras and sensors, to watch for potential collisions and accidents, warning the you of emergencies.
The array of standard safety features makes it even easier for drivers of the Chevy Trailblazer to relax behind the wheel and enjoy a confident, smooth ride. Plus, drivers who love a sporty look can give their 2021 Trailblazer a sharp design with the RS trim level, which will add a standard two-tone roof.
The all-new 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer should be arriving at dealerships like Transwest Chevrolet Buick in early 2020. We’re looking forward to getting to know the newest addition to the lineup.

Diesel lovers can rejoice: There’s a new turbo-diesel engine in town. The all-new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado has added a new available 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six engine to provide its customers with more choice and versatility.
The 2020 Silverado turbo-diesel engine will have
class-leading torque and horsepower, while still providing consumers with the
fuel economy and capabilities they want. It the first-ever inline-six
turbo-diesel to be offered in Chevrolet’s light-duty truck lineup.
“From the moment the engine is started, to its idle,
acceleration, and highway cruising, the 3.0L Duramax performance will change
perceptions of what a diesel engine can offer in refinement,” said Nicola
Menarini, director for Diesel Truck Engine Program Execution. “With advanced
technologies that draw on global diesel expertise, it’s a no-compromise choice
for those who want the capability and driving range of a diesel in a light-duty
The 2020 Silverado turbo-diesel engine is one of six powertrain options available on the Silverado. It will be an available option on the LT, RST, LTZ, and High Country trim levels and will come paired to a ten-speed automatic transmission. The turbo-diesel provides 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, reaching 95 percent of peak torque at just 1,250 rpm – giving you plenty of towing power.
We at Transwest Chevrolet Buick are huge fans of the current Silverado, so we’re thrilled that it will be adding yet another engine option to its already exhaustive lineup of powertrain possibilities.
General Motors has been winning the attention of experts and enthusiasts alike with a feature on the GMC Sierra – the new multi-function tailgate called the MultiPro. Many speculated whether or not GM would be including the six-function tailgate on Chevrolet Silverado models as well. We have some news for you: the MultiPro tailgate will also be on Silverado models, according to spy shots of a prototype spotted in testing.
The multi-function tailgate will likely debut on the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. As mentioned above, it can be configured in six different ways – from stair steps up into the bed for ease of loading to a truck bed extension to a work desk. It’s likely that the Chevrolet model won’t use the “MultiPro” name, as it has been trademarked by GMC and associated with GMC’s “Like a Pro” slogan.
Experts are already speculating that the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will receive the new multi-function tailgate as an option for the 2020 model year, while HD models may get it in mid-2020 or even 2021. Still, the six-way truck bed will be a highly anticipated feature on either option. While Chevrolet has not confirmed the feature for the Silverado lineup yet, the feature’s inclusion on prototype models is a positive sign.
While we don’t know all the details about upcoming Chevy trucks, we can help you find the one best for you today. Contact us at Transwest Chevy Buick for more information.
Any true NASCAR fan knows that Dale Earnhardt was one of the greatest racers of his time. Even people who don’t know much about car racing recognize his name and probably remember his tragic death from a racing accident in 2001. One lucky bidder was recently able to secure a piece of this man’s legendary career at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction in April.
Dale Earnhardt’s 1977 Chevrolet Nova sold for $209,000. It is interesting to note that just a month before this auction, the same car sold for just $53,000 at a Bonham auction at Amelia Island.
While this car may not have worn his famous No. 3, it was the origin of his signature black-and-silver Goodwrench paint scheme. This car started its life as a Pontiac Ventura. Earnhardt and his brother-in-law Robert Gee, Jr. converted it to a Chevrolet Nova.
This impressive car was powered by a 358 NASCAR V8 rated around 700 horsepower. It also had rear-wheel drive a four-speed manual transmission. While the car is not considered street legal, it has been making track and other special appearance since the 1990s. It was driven at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2009 and at the Rolex Monterey Sports Reunion in 2012.
Opening Day has come and gone, which means it is officially baseball season here in the US. Chevrolet, with its headquarters in Detroit, has always had a close partnership with the Detroit Tigers. That continues this year with two new Chevy vehicles on display at Comerica Park.

this amazing tradition.
“This decade-old tradition allows us to celebrate

Opening Day is almost here,” remarked Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president,

So why the Traverse and the Silverado of all Chevy’s
vehicles? Chevy and the Tigers chose to display those two models because of
what they represent: durability, reliability, and power. Those are three traits
the Tigers embody as well—and what they hope will take them to the World Series

Earlier this year, editors at Motor Trend pitted the industry’s four most popular midsize trucks against one another: the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, the 2019 Honda Ridgeline, the 2019 Toyota Tacoma, and the 2019 Ford Ranger, a returning truck to the segment. Absentees included the GMC Canyon and the Nissan Frontier.
In this Motor Trend midsize truck testing, the editors noted that, though they usually disagree to some degree, they were unanimous on the ranking of these four trucks. In last place was the Toyota Tacoma. The Ford Ranger managed to grab third while the Honda Ridgeline ranked second. Unsurprisingly, the 2019 Chevy Colorado was the top dog after serious testing that included city driving and hard work on a farm.
editors appreciated that the Colorado functions both as a daily driver and work
truck. It’s powerful, it’s efficient, and it’s fun to drive but has a
One of the editors commented in deadpan humor, “It’s like
these guys [Chevy] are truck-building experts or something. Not hard to
remember why this is a two-time Truck of the Year.”
The 2019 Colorado, which is America’s most fuel-efficient
pickup truck and offers best-in-class
towing, is available now at Transwest Chevy Buick.
